Description of Building Types and GBS default values per Building Type.
When performing energy simulation using Green Building Studio, you need to define the building type for your model. In order to generate an energy model for simulation, Green Building Studio uses a default value based on building type and project location if a parameter has not been defined in your model. You can select your building type from a list of 34 different building types when you are creating your project in Green Building Studio or defining Energy Settings in for your model Autodesk Revit/Vasari.
GBS default values per building type
The following table summarizes the GBS defaults for equipment power density (EPD), lighting power density (LPD), outside air flow rates, and infiltration rates for different Building Types.
