RFIs Shared through Bridge Email Notifications and Replies

Notifications for RFIs shared through Bridge follow similar patterns to other Bridge notifications and standard RFI notifications. Project administrators in target projects will receive email notifications when RFIs are shared to their project. Users added as Watchers to RFIs shared through Bridge will receive notifications according to their notification settings.

Project administrators can customize email notification settings for a project, and project members with Edit permission or above can customize their own notification frequency.

Notification details

• A "Shared with" text indication in the notifications lists the projects the RFI was shared to/from and their accounts, using the format: "Project (Account)"
• Target projects' users will receive a notification about the RFI being changed or closed if they were involved with the RFI on the source project (for example, their company was assigned as Watchers)
• Target projects' admins can notify their own users by adding them as Watchers to the closed RFIs
• If Watchers were added on the target project and the RFI is re-shared through Bridge, those Watchers will receive a new "RFI was shared from Project X" notification

Reply by email

• Target projects are not allowed to reply to a notification received about an RFI shared through Bridge
• Attempted replies will fail with an error: "You cannot reply to RFI shared to your project through Bridge"

Error handling

When sharing through Bridge fails, you'll receive one of the following notifications:

1. Bridge side actions failure:

   • A notification will be sent to the user who tried to share the RFI through Bridge on the source project
   • The notification mentions the RFI number, title, the list of receiving project(s), and the action that failed

2. RFIs side actions failure or Bridge being completely down:

   • A notification will be sent to the user who tried to share the RFI through Bridge
   • The notification includes details about the RFI number, title, receiving project(s), and the failed action
