Bounded Points

The Bounded Point grading object creates an elevation constraint for a point along a surface. They are useful for allowances for elements that will enter your optimized site such as roads or pipes. While useful in defining specific elevations, a point may be too high or too low to satisfy the slope constraints.

The elevation properties of a bounded point can be fixed, or a minimum and maximum elevation range may be specified.

If a bounded point is placed within a zone, it will affect the zone accordingly. In the following example, the bounded point was placed in a zone with aligned edges and breaklines enabled.
