Make Previous Version of File Current

You can promote a previous version of a file to become the current version. For example, you could have two versions of a file and you want members to use V1 as the current version instead of V2. When you make V1 current, this will create a copy of V1 and promote it as the current version. In this case, the files list Version badge will change from V2 to V1 as the files list always shows the current version.

Permission Required to Make Previous Version of File Current

You need Edit permission or above can promote the previous version of a file to become the current version.


Limitations

You can't make a previous version of a Data Exchange current.


How to Make Current

  1. Either:

    • Click the Version number badge of your file in the files list; or
    • Right-click the file and select View version history; or
    • Select the file and click the More menu in the action bar above the files list and click View version history.
  2. Click the More menu of the relevant file version.

  3. Click Make Current.

  4. Click Restore in the dialog box
