Publish to Sheets or Specifications

You can publish PDF files, or RVT files which contain 2D sheets, to the Sheets tool in Build. You can also publish files to the Specifications tool in Build and Docs.

Publish to Build Sheets

Permission Required to Publish to Build Sheets

You need:

• Files tool: View + Download folder permission or above for the selected files to access the Publish option.
• Sheets tool: Create + Upload folder permission or above to enter and complete the publishing process.

How to Publish to Build Sheets

1. Select the relevant PDF files, or RVT files which contain 2D sheets.
2. Click Publish.
3. Click Publish to Build Sheets.
4. Follow the workflow in the Select Collection and Version Set help topic to continue publishing.

Permissions Required to Publish to Specifications

You need the following permissions:

• Files tool: View + Download folder permission or above for the relevant files to access the Publish option.
• Specifications tool: Create or above permission.

How to Publish to Specifications

1. Select the one or more PDF files which contain the specifications you want to publish.
2. Click Publish.
3. Click Publish to Specifications.
4. Follow the specifications workflow from the Create or Select Version Set help topic.
