Start a Trial

30-day trials are available for Autodesk BIM Collaborate, Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro, Autodesk Build, and Autodesk Takeoff. You can start a trial in many ways, including from Autodesk Construction Cloud Products Homepage and email communications, but the most common method of starting a trial is through a project invitation. To do so:

  1. Open the email invitation and click Activate your membership.

  2. Sign in to the product.

Note: If you already have an Autodesk ID, sign in with these credentials. Otherwise create a new personal Autodesk account.
  3. After signing in, you'll land in the project and you'll see a message telling you which trials you need access to. Since you don't have a subscription yet, click Start Trial.

Note: The products you've been invited to use may be available across multiple offerings. In that scenario, you must start individual trials for the relevant product offering of Autodesk BIM Collaborate, Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro, Autodesk Build and Autodesk Takeoff. See the About Autodesk Construction Cloud topic to learn more about what is included in each subscription offering.

After starting the trial, click into the product picker in the top-left corner of the screen to see what products are available to you. If you have a subscription to one product and a trial to another, you'll see both products visible here.

If you start a trial of Autodesk Build, you also get a sample project. This project is unique to you. You can use it to get familiar with using Build. To open the sample project:

  1. If you're in Build, click the project drop-down menu and choose Sample Project.

  2. If you're in the Project List, click Sample Project in the list of available projects.

Account and project administrators can provide trial access to project members. To do so:

  1. From Project Admin, click Add members.

  2. Enter the user's email to add the user to the project and select the desired product to provide trial access.

Note: You can select multiple products to trial.
  3. When the user activates their membership by clicking on the email inviting them to the project, they’ll be automatically enrolled in a trial for 30 days.

Note: This trial access does not provide access to an individual account or sample project. Users will trial products in the existing project and account.

Start a Trial on an Existing Project

Account and project administrators can provide access to additional products as a trial on existing projects. To do so:

  1. From Project Admin, select the member you’d like to provide trial access.

  2. Select the desired product to provide trial access.

Note: You can select multiple products to trial.

Members will notice additional products in the product picker and will automatically be enrolled in a 30 day trial when they access those products for the first time.

Note: This trial access does not provide access to an individual account or sample project. Members will trial products in the existing project and account.
