Fusion Connect device adapters don’t introduce and don’t force the use of any specific security models but they support all possible device authorization, authentication, device data encoding, data transfer securing, etc.
Any data sent via a UDP datagram or a TCP socket will be, by default, insecure unless the data contents are encrypted. Any message that is encrypted would need to have a Fusion Connect device adapter that is capable of handling the data encryption used for the messaging data. The message data can be made secure by transmitting the data over a secure protocol such as HTTPS. The message data can also be made secure by establishing a VPN (Virtual Private Network) with the Fusion Connect platform data centers.
