A link to a Hyperlink acts the same as any HTML hyperlink, and redirects the user to a specified URL. Only internal links and View commands can connect to a hyperlink, so there will always be a "selected" query result when such a link is opened. As a result, when creating such a link, you can set the destination URL to either a variable stored within the selected query result, build an expression using the result's fields, or simply provide a static URL string. By default, the browser will redirect away from the parent report and open the destination URL in the same tab, but these types of links include the optional "Link opens in new window" flag that instructs the browser to open the URL in a new tab or window, depending on the user's browser settings.
