Complexity of the underlay or drawing may require the use of Complex Node scenarios. Complex nodes are items that can adapt themselves to particular points when attempting to fill in 3D. A list of pattern CIDs that are compatible with Complex Node creation are detailed below:
In order for Design Line Fill to work effectively, the process in which you draw the lines around the Complex Node is important. Looking at the example below, the source of this EOLTee scenario is from the line indicated (1st Line). Each line should be drawn as though the flow would be required.
IMPORTANT: Never draw the lines around the complex node as 3 source lines. Two lines must be drawn away from the fitting in order to indicate to the software that the item is a Complex Node type. Ensure by right-clicking Button Button Properties that the Fitting Type is set to Complex Node from the drop-down. You should also ensure the CID pattern number is one from the list above which are intended to be used for this purpose.
Selecting one of the fittings from your service prompts for a point for where the fitting is to be placed. (indicated below). A sequence of Line selection is then requested and should be the source line selected first, followed by the branch lines.
