Handling Jobs Saved in a Newer Version of the Fabrication Products

If you are prompted to update the version of a job, review the information below to resolve the issue.

When a job or another file like a report definition contains a part with newer features that aren't supported in the version of the Fabrication product you're using, the software isn't able to interpret the part data correctly. Follow the steps below to update the application to the correct version to support the part data in this job.

Autodesk Management Portal

  1. Log onto your Autodesk account at https://manage.autodesk.com
  2. Locate Fabrication CADmep in the list of All Products and Services.
  3. Expand Fabrication CADmep and click on Downloads.
  4. Select the preferred download method and language and follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: For deployments, click create New Package under Custom Install and follow the on-screen instructions.
