When a drawing contains lots of detail, it can sometimes be difficult to work on a particular section when some items are obstructing the desired view. Use the Hide and Show commands to hide some items and show others.
- Hide Selected Objects: Selected items remain in the model, but are hidden from the view (not displayed).
- Show All Objects: Reveals (displays) all the items that were previously hidden using the Hide Selected Objects command.
Hiding Items
To hide items in the model:
- Do one of the following:
- Click the Hide All but Selected Objects icon .
- At the command line, type HIDESELECTED and then press Enter.
- In the model, select the items you wish hide.
- Right click or press Enter.
All selected Items should now be hidden from view (not displayed).
Displaying Hidden Items in the Drawing
To display items that are hidden in the drawing:
- Do one of the following:
- Click the Show All Objects Icon .
- At the command line, type SHOWALL and then press Enter.
All previously hidden objects should now be displayed.
Note: This option does not affect the Layer Status of the item i.e. Frozen layers will remain frozen. Only items hidden using the CADmep commands will be affected.
