When a drawing, or paper space viewport, contains lots of detail, it can sometimes be difficult to work on a particular section when some items are obstructing the desired view. Use the Hide and Show in Selected Viewport commands to hide some items and show others in a particular viewport.
- Hide Selected Objects in Viewport: Allows the user to hide selected Items per Viewport.
- Show (Isolate) All Objects: Allows the user to reveal all the Items hidden by the Hide Selected Objects in Viewport command.
Hiding Items in a Paper Space Viewport
To hide items in a particular paper space viewport in the model:
- Do one of the following:
- Click the Hide All but Selected Objects in Viewport icon .
- At the command line, type HIDESELECTEDINVP and then press Enter.
- In the model, select the items you wish hide.
- Right click or press Enter.
All selected items should now be not displayed (hidden) in the viewport.
Displaying Hidden Items in a Paperspace Viewport
To display items that are hidden in a particular paperspace viewport:
- Do one of the following:
- Click the Show (Isolate) All Objects in Viewport icon .
- At the command line, type ISOLATESELECTEDINVP and then press Enter.
All previously hidden objects should now be displayed.
Note: This option does not affect the Layer Status of the item i.e. Frozen layers will remain frozen. Only items hidden using the CADmep commands will be affected.
