When a drawing contains lots of detail it can be difficult to work on a particular section without having to avoid other items. This is where the Isolate Selected Objects in Viewport command become useful.
The function includes two commands:
- Isolate Selected Objects: Allows the user to select a group of items then hide all the other objects not in the selection.
- Show All Objects: Allows the user to reveal all the items hidden by the Isolate Selected Objects in Viewport command.
Isolating Items
To isolate items:
- Do one of the following:
- On the CADmep toolbar, click .
- At the command line, type ISOLATESELECTEDINVP, SHOWALLINVP and then press Enter.
- Click the Isolate Selected Objects in Viewport icon .
- Select the items you wish remain on the drawing.
- Right click or press Return to execute.
- All un-selected items should now be removed from view.
To display (unhide) any hidden items in a drawing:
- Do one of the following:
- On the CADmep toolbar, click the Show All Objects icon .
- At the command line, type SHOWALLINVP and then press Enter.
All previously hidden objects should now be displayed.
Note: This option does not affect the Layer Status of the item, In other words, frozen layers will remain frozen. Only items hidden using the CADmep commands will be affected.
