Layering

The Layering tab allow the user to specify what Layer Tag information is added to the item layers created in the AutoCAD Layer Manager when items are added to the drawing. Fields listed on the right hand side of the dialog will be shown as component parts of the layer name. Fields on the left hand side of the dialog will not be used. Fields may be highlighted then added/removed from the show list by selecting the directional arrows.

Choosing Layer Tags

1. Select Edit Services Database .
2. Select Layering from the list.

   

   Note: Separating String - This allows for different types of separation between the layer section names e.g. Duct Supply_3D / Duct Supply-3D / Duct Supply+3D.

Add or Remove different Layer Tags to the layers properties

1. Select to highlight the Layer Tag field required.
2. Click on either the arrow pointing to the right to add to the layers properties.
3. Or click on the arrow pointing to the left to remove a layer from the properties.

Sort the order of Layers

1. Click to highlight the layer tag required.
2. Click on either the up or down arrow to sort the layer tags into the desired order.
