When a drawing contains lots of complex detail, it can be difficult to work on a particular section without having other items or objects obscure or hide what you really want to view or manipulate. This is where the Isolate Selected Objects command can be useful.
The function includes two commands:
- Isolate Selected Objects: Lets you select a group of items then hide all the other objects not in the selection.
- Show All Objects: Allows the user to reveal all the items hidden by the Isolate Selected command.
Isolating Items
- Do one of the following:
- In the CADmep toolbar, click the Isolate Selected Objects icon .
- At the command line, type MASKVIEW, SHOWALL and press Enter.
- Select the items you wish remain on the drawing.
- Right click or press Enter to execute.
- All un-selected items should now be removed from view.
Displaying any hidden Item on the drawing
- Click the Show All Objects Icon.
- All previously hidden objects should now be displayed.
Note: This option does not affect the Layer Status of the Item i.e. Frozen layers will remain frozen. Only items hidden using these commands will be affected.
