When working with different databases in the Fabrication products, data may need to be merged from one database into another.
The database import and export commands described below allow you to export and import the following types of data between databases:
- airturns
- ancillaries
- connectors
- dampers
- fabrication times
- installation times
- insulation specifications
- seams
- sections
- specifications
- splitters
- stiffeners
- supplier costs
- supports
To export this type of data in CADmep:
- Type DBEXPORT and press Enter.
- On the Database Export dialog, select the type of data to export.
- Specify a name for the export file (*.iox extension), and save it to an appropriate location.
To import the data into CADmep:
- Type DBIMPORT and press Enter.
- On the Database Import dialog, select the data to import.
Note: Only exported data will be visible. Empty tabs are normal if no data of that type has been exported.
- Click OK.
Now the data has been merged into the database.
To export the data in ESTmep or CAMduct:
- Click File
Export
Database Export.
- From the Database Export dialog, select the data to export.
- Specify a name for the export file (*.iox extension), and save it to an appropriate location.
- Click File
Export
Database Export.
To import the data into CAMduct or ESTmep:
- Click File
Import
Database Import.
- From the Database Import dialog, select the data to import.
Note: Only exported data will be visible. Empty tabs are normal if no data has been exported for that specific type.
- Click OK.
Now the data has been merged into the database.
