Arcs.addByThreePoints Method

Defined in namespace "adsk::drawing" and the header file is <Drawing/Sketch/Arcs.h>

Description

Creates a new arc in the sketch that passes through three points: a start point, a point on the arc, and an end point. Mirrors the 3-Point Arc drawing command.

Syntax

"arcs_var" is a variable referencing an Arcs object.

returnValue = arcs_var.addByThreePoints(startPoint, pointOnArc, endPoint)
"arcs_var" is a variable referencing an Arcs object.

Return Value

Type Description
Arc Returns the newly created Arc, or null if the operation failed.

Parameters

Name Type Description
startPoint Point2D The start point of the arc. Coordinates are in drawing length units (millimeters when the drawing standard includes ISO; inches when the standard is ASME without ISO). Build the point with core.Point2D.create(x, y).
pointOnArc Point2D A point the arc passes through, between the start and end points.
endPoint Point2D The end point of the arc.
