This functionality is provided as a preview
of intended future API capabilities. You are encouraged to use it and report any problems or suggestions using the
Fusion API and Scripts forum.
Because this is a preview of future functionality, there is the possibility that it will change, which will possibly
break any existing programs that use this functionality. Because of that, you should never deliver any programs that use
any preview capabilities. For a distributed program, you should wait until it has moved from preview to released state.
The input object that defines the properties needed to create a datum identifier symbol when using the DrawingSymbols.addDatumIdentifier method. Created using DrawingSymbols.createDatumIdentifierInput.
| Name | Description |
| classType |
Static function that all classes support that returns the type of the class as a string. The returned string matches the string returned by the objectType property. For example if you have a reference to an object and you want to check if it's a SketchLine you can use myObject.objectType == fusion.SketchLine.classType(). |
| Name | Description |
| datumNotes | Gets and sets the mixed symbol and text content for the datum note. Obtain a SymbolPaletteList from this property, use append, appendText, and clear to build the content, then assign the same object back to this property to apply it to the input. For example: notes = input.datumNotes; notes.append(...); input.datumNotes = notes. |
| identifier | |
| isValid | Indicates if this object is still valid, i.e. hasn't been deleted or some other action done to invalidate the reference. |
| leaderPoints | Gets and sets the ordered leader bend points in sheet space, in drawing length units (millimeters when the drawing standard includes ISO; inches when the standard is ASME without ISO). Required for datum identifier creation. Must contain at least two points; placementPoint defines the final box location. To specify placement only with no separate leader bend, use the same sheet-space coordinates for both leader points and placementPoint. Build each point with DrawingPoint.create. |
| objectType | This property is supported by all objects in the API and returns a string that contains the full name (namespace::objecttype) describing the type of the object. It's often useful to use this in combination with the classType method to see if an object is a certain type. For example: if obj.objectType == adsk.core.Point3D.classType(): |
| placementPoint | Gets and sets the datum identifier box location in sheet space, in drawing length units (millimeters when the drawing standard includes ISO; inches when the standard is ASME without ISO). Required for datum identifier creation. To specify placement only with no separate leader bend, use the same sheet-space coordinates as both leaderPoints. Build the point with DrawingPoint.create. |
| threadNotes | Gets and sets the mixed symbol and text content for the thread note. Obtain a SymbolPaletteList from this property, use append, appendText, and clear to build the content, then assign the same object back to this property to apply it to the input. For example: notes = input.threadNotes; notes.append(...); input.threadNotes = notes. |
| viewCurve | Gets and sets the view curve the symbol attaches to. Required for datum identifier creation. |
