DrawingDimensions.addArcLengthDimension Method

Description

Creates an arc length dimension on a native arc or arc-like spline view curve using the Arc Length Dimension command (DIMARC)

Syntax

"drawingDimensions_var" is a variable referencing a DrawingDimensions object.

returnValue = drawingDimensions_var.addArcLengthDimension(curve, placementPoint)
"drawingDimensions_var" is a variable referencing a DrawingDimensions object.

Return Value

Type Description
DrawingDimension Returns the newly created DrawingDimension object with type ArcLengthDrawingDimensionType, or null if creation failed.

Parameters

Name Type Description
curve ViewCurve The view curve to dimension. Must be an arc view curve (ArcViewCurveType) or an arc-like spline (SplineViewCurveType) on a drawing view.
placementPoint DrawingPoint The sheet-space location of the dimension arc in paper space. Use DrawingPoint.create to supply a standalone point, or a point from a view curve accessor.
