TaperSlopeSymbolInput Object Preview

Derived from: DrawingSymbolInput Object
Defined in namespace "adsk::drawing" and the header file is <Drawing/Symbols/TaperSlopeSymbolInput.h>

PreviewThis functionality is provided as a preview of intended future API capabilities. You are encouraged to use it and report any problems or suggestions using the Fusion API and Scripts forum.

Because this is a preview of future functionality, there is the possibility that it will change, which will possibly break any existing programs that use this functionality. Because of that, you should never deliver any programs that use any preview capabilities. For a distributed program, you should wait until it has moved from preview to released state.

Description

The input object that defines properties needed to create a taper or slope symbol.

Methods

Name Description
classType

Static function that all classes support that returns the type of the class as a string. The returned string matches the string returned by the objectType property. For example if you have a reference to an object and you want to check if it's a SketchLine you can use myObject.objectType == fusion.SketchLine.classType().

Properties

Name Description
attachementCurve Gets and sets the second view curve the taper or slope symbol attaches to. Required for taper or slope symbol creation; ACM uses both curves to calculate the angle.
dimension Gets and sets the dimension text (value, ratio, or percentage string). Calculated ratio/percentage strings may be supplied directly.
isTheoreticallyExact Gets and sets whether the dimension is theoretically exact (basic dimension box).
isValid Indicates if this object is still valid, i.e. hasn't been deleted or some other action done to invalidate the reference.
leaderPoints Gets and sets the ordered leader bend points in sheet space, in drawing length units (millimeters when the drawing standard includes ISO; inches when the standard is ASME without ISO). Required for datum identifier creation. Must contain at least two points; placementPoint defines the final box location. To specify placement only with no separate leader bend, use the same sheet-space coordinates for both leader points and placementPoint. Build each point with DrawingPoint.create.
objectType This property is supported by all objects in the API and returns a string that contains the full name (namespace::objecttype) describing the type of the object.

It's often useful to use this in combination with the classType method to see if an object is a certain type. For example: if obj.objectType == adsk.core.Point3D.classType():
placementPoint Gets and sets the datum identifier box location in sheet space, in drawing length units (millimeters when the drawing standard includes ISO; inches when the standard is ASME without ISO). Required for datum identifier creation. To specify placement only with no separate leader bend, use the same sheet-space coordinates as both leaderPoints. Build the point with DrawingPoint.create.
taperSlopeSymbolType Gets and sets the taper or slope symbol shape. When not set, ACM uses its own default symbol type for the drawing standard.
viewCurve Gets and sets the view curve the symbol attaches to. Required for datum identifier creation.
