This functionality is provided as a preview
of intended future API capabilities. You are encouraged to use it and report any problems or suggestions using the
Fusion API and Scripts forum.
Because this is a preview of future functionality, there is the possibility that it will change, which will possibly
break any existing programs that use this functionality. Because of that, you should never deliver any programs that use
any preview capabilities. For a distributed program, you should wait until it has moved from preview to released state.
Object that represents an individual drawing view on a sheet.
| Name | Description |
| classType |
Static function that all classes support that returns the type of the class as a string. The returned string matches the string returned by the objectType property. For example if you have a reference to an object and you want to check if it's a SketchLine you can use myObject.objectType == fusion.SketchLine.classType(). |
| getCenterLineOptions |
Returns the center line options for this view. |
| getCenterMarkOptions |
Returns the center mark options for this view. |
| setCenterLineOptions |
Sets the center line options for this view. Currently supports base views only. |
| setCenterMarkOptions |
Sets the center mark options for this view. Currently supports base views only. |
| Name | Description |
| isShowInterferenceEdges | Gets and sets whether interference edges are displayed. Currently supports base views only. Defaults to true. |
| isShowThreadEdges | Gets and sets whether thread feature edges are displayed. Currently supports base views only. Defaults to true. |
| isValid | Indicates if this object is still valid, i.e. hasn't been deleted or some other action done to invalidate the reference. |
| objectType | This property is supported by all objects in the API and returns a string that contains the full name (namespace::objecttype) describing the type of the object. It's often useful to use this in combination with the classType method to see if an object is a certain type. For example: if obj.objectType == adsk.core.Point3D.classType(): |
| orientation | Gets and sets the view orientation. Currently supports base views only. Defaults to FrontViewOrientationType. |
| scaleValue | Gets and sets the view scale as a numeric ratio. Examples: 1:2 = 0.5, 1:4 = 0.25, 4:2 = 2, 4:1 = 4. Currently supports base views only. A value of 0 selects automatic scale. |
| style | Gets and sets the display style. Currently supports base views only. Defaults to VisibleEdgesDrawingViewStyleType. |
| tangentEdges | Gets and sets how tangent edges are displayed. Currently supports base views only. Defaults to OffTangentEdgeDisplayType. |
| type | Returns the type of this drawing view (base, projected, section, detail, or auxiliary). Returns UnknownViewType if the type cannot be determined. |
| viewCurves | Returns the collection of all 2D curves that were generated into this view from the model (including projected model edges and sketch geometry). The returned curves live in sheet space. For views that have no model-derived geometry (for example a draft view) the collection is empty. |
