BendReliefOverride Object Preview

Derived from: SheetMetalRuleOverride Object
Defined in namespace "adsk::fusion" and the header file is <Fusion/SheetMetal/BendReliefOverride.h>

PreviewThis functionality is provided as a preview of intended future API capabilities. You are encouraged to use it and report any problems or suggestions using the Fusion API and Scripts forum.

Because this is a preview of future functionality, there is the possibility that it will change, which will possibly break any existing programs that use this functionality. Because of that, you should never deliver any programs that use any preview capabilities. For a distributed program, you should wait until it has moved from preview to released state.

Description

Per-feature override for the bend-relief sheet metal rule parameters.

Methods

Name Description
classType

Static function that all classes support that returns the type of the class as a string. The returned string matches the string returned by the objectType property. For example if you have a reference to an object and you want to check if it's a SketchLine you can use myObject.objectType == fusion.SketchLine.classType().

clearOverride

Clears the override so the owning feature uses the sheet metal rule default. Use setOverride on the concrete override type to activate an override with values.

To use this method, you need to position the timeline marker to immediately before this feature. This can be accomplished using the following code: thisFeature.timelineObject.rollTo(true)

setOverride

Activates the bend-relief override with the specified shape and dimensions. If an override is already active, this replaces it.

Properties

Name Description
depth Returns the model parameter controlling the bend-relief depth in Feature context. Returns null unless isOverridden is true, isTemporary is false, and shape is Straight or Round — use depthValue instead in Input context.
depthValue Gets and sets the bend-relief depth in Input context. Returns null unless isTemporary and isOverridden are both true and shape is Straight or Round — use depth instead in Feature context.
isOverridden Returns true if this override is currently active. When false, the owning feature uses the sheet metal rule default.
isTemporary Returns true if this override is associated with a feature input object rather than an existing feature.
isValid Indicates if this object is still valid, i.e. hasn't been deleted or some other action done to invalidate the reference.
objectType This property is supported by all objects in the API and returns a string that contains the full name (namespace::objecttype) describing the type of the object.

It's often useful to use this in combination with the classType method to see if an object is a certain type. For example: if obj.objectType == adsk.core.Point3D.classType():
remnant Returns the model parameter controlling the bend-relief minimum remnant in Feature context. Returns null unless isOverridden is true, isTemporary is false, and shape is Straight or Round — use remnantValue instead in Input context.
remnantValue Gets and sets the bend-relief minimum remnant in Input context. Returns null unless isTemporary and isOverridden are both true and shape is Straight or Round — use remnant instead in Feature context.
shape Gets and sets the bend-relief shape when the override is active. Setting the shape does not change whether width/depth/remnant are applicable (Tear ignores them; Straight and Round use them). Setting when no override is active has no effect.

To set this property, you need to position the timeline marker to immediately before this feature. This can be accomplished using the following code: thisFeature.timelineObject.rollTo(true)
width Returns the model parameter controlling the bend-relief width in Feature context. Returns null unless isOverridden is true, isTemporary is false, and shape is Straight or Round — use widthValue instead in Input context.
widthValue Gets and sets the bend-relief width in Input context. Returns null unless isTemporary and isOverridden are both true and shape is Straight or Round — use width instead in Feature context.
