CurvatureCombAnalysisInput Object

Derived from: Base Object
Defined in namespace "adsk::fusion" and the header file is <Fusion/Fusion/CurvatureCombAnalysisInput.h>

Description

Provides access to all of the settings available when creating a Curvature Comb analysis. Use this object to define the settings you need and then pass this into the add method to create the analysis.

Methods

Name Description
classType

Static function that all classes support that returns the type of the class as a string. The returned string matches the string returned by the objectType property. For example if you have a reference to an object and you want to check if it's a SketchLine you can use myObject.objectType == fusion.SketchLine.classType().

Properties

Name Description
density A property that gets and sets the number of sample points displayed on the curvature combs. Valid values are from 2 to 100. This property defaults to 50 when the input is created.
inputEntities A property that gets and sets the edges to analyze. Valid entities are BRepEdge objects.
isValid Indicates if this object is still valid, i.e. hasn't been deleted or some other action done to invalidate the reference.
objectType This property is supported by all objects in the API and returns a string that contains the full name (namespace::objecttype) describing the type of the object.

It's often useful to use this in combination with the classType method to see if an object is a certain type. For example: if obj.objectType == adsk.core.Point3D.classType():
scale A property that gets and sets the scale of the curvature combs. This is the same as the "Scale" setting in the Curvature Comb Analysis command dialog. Valid values are greater than or equal to 0. The maximum offered by the command dialog's slider is derived from the size and curvature of the edges being analyzed and applies to interactive use only. The API does not enforce a maximum, so a larger scale can be set here and will be used. This property defaults to 10 when the input is created.
