Pin a component

Learn how to use Pin to pin and unpin a component to and from the default component in the active design in Fusion.

Pin a component to the default component

1. Expand the Browser.
2. Right-click the component you want to pin.
3. Select Pin.

The component is pinned to the default component in the active design. A Pin feature is created in the timeline.

Unpin a component from the default component

1. Expand the Browser.
2. Right-click the component you want to unpin.
3. Select Unpin.

The component is unpinned from the default component in the active design. An Unpin feature is created in the timeline.

Tips

• For predictable results, pin one main component to fix it in place and then create joints between it and other components to define more assembly relationships.
