Corner Modes reference

When machining outer corners, you have 3 different options.

2D Contour can machine outer corners in three different ways, controlled by the Outer Corner Mode setting on the Passes tab.

• Roll around corner - keeps contact with the corner throughout the motion. Reduces cycle time.

  

• Keep sharp corner - continues the toolpath to a single point corner, losing contact with the material temporarily.

  

• Keep sharp corner with loop - similar to Keep sharp corner, but also performs a horizontal lead-out and lead-in at the corner.
