Make an operation optional reference

Skip the corresponding toolpath on the CNC control.

The Manufacture workspace lets you mark operations optional. The only difference for an optional operation is that the post processor is able to mark the corresponding NC code optional. This, in turn, allows you to optionally skip the corresponding toolpath on the CNC control. The post processor configuration has to be customized to support optional blocks.

To make an operation optional, right-click the operation in the Browser and select Optional from the pop-up context menu. You can make the operation non-optional again by selecting Optional once more.
