Slope Confinement reference

This feature is useful because some strategies are better for shallow areas, while others are more suited for steep areas.

Most of the 3D finishing strategies in Fusion support slope confinement. This feature is useful because some strategies are better for shallow areas (e.g. Parallel finishing), while others are more suited for steep areas (e.g. Contour finishing).

The slope confinement is specified by setting the From Slope Angle and To Slope Angle parameters, found in the Slope section on the Geometry tab.

Specifying the slope angle

From Slope Angle

Only areas where the slope angle from horizontal is larger than this are machined.

To Slope Angle

Only areas where the slope angle from horizontal is smaller than this are machined.
