Rename designs

Rename designs in Fusion and in the Fusion web client.

Rename a design in Fusion

1. In the Fusion Data Panel, right-click the design.
2. Click Rename.
3. In the name field, enter a new name.
4. Press Enter.

The design name updates to the new name everywhere it appears or is referenced (inserted as an external component in other designs or documented in drawings). Its Part Name property also updates to match the new design name.

Rename a file or folder in the Fusion web client

1. In the Fusion web client, hover over the file or folder you want to rename.
2. Click the drop-down button > Rename.
3. In the now editable name field, enter a new name and click away from the field.

The file or folder name updates to the new name everywhere it appears.
