Lock component selection

Learn how to make a component selectable or unselectable in the Canvas from the Browser in Fusion.

In the Browser, locate the object you want to lock or unlock selection for.
Right-click the component.
Click Selectable/Unselectable.

If the object was selectable, it is now unselectable in the Canvas and its icon updates in the Browser:

Component is unselectable.
Assembly is unselectable.

If the object was unselectable, its icon updates the standard icon in the Browser and you can now select it in the Canvas.

Note:

When you adjust the selectable status for an object in an external component, the status of that specific object is overridden in the assembly. The status is not changed in the external design, or in any other assemblies where the external design is referenced.
