Import private libraries into your hub

Importing private libraries from Library.io into your current hub makes sure all team members can access the components. This prevents permission issues when editing components or syncing 2D and 3D PCB designs.

Prerequisites

• Open the Electronics Library Manager

Steps

1. In the Electronics Library Manager, click the Private tab.
2. Right-click the library you want to import.
3. If you see the option to download:
   1. Select Download to download the library.
   2. Once downloaded, right-click the library again to see the import action.
4. Select the action that is available:
   • Import into Fusion Hub - If the library has not been imported yet.
   • Import as New Hub Library - If the library was already imported and you want to create a second copy.

Important considerations

• Missing hub libraries: If the hub library is missing from your Library Manager, the Imported column may show wrong information. Scan your hub for missing libraries to avoid duplicate imports.
• Local disk libraries: The Imported column only applies to Library.io libraries.
• Private packages: Private packages stored in Library.io are not imported automatically. You must import these packages separately.

Next steps

• Update existing designs: If you have designs using components from private libraries, use the swap libraries feature to make sure your designs only use components from hub libraries.
