Edit plated through hole in a 3D PCB

PTHs synchronized from the 2D PCB are represented as editable features in the 3D PCB timeline.

  1. Open the linked 3D PCB.
  2. In the timeline, locate the required PTH Pth icon feature.
  3. Right-click the PTH feature and select Edit Feature to modify the hole or slot dimensions and position.
  4. Select Update 2D PCB to apply the changes to both the 3D PCB and linked 2D PCB.
    • When Update 2D PCB is selected, changes to the PTH dimensions and position are synchronized with the 2D PCB.
    • When Update 2D PCB is cleared, the changes remain in the 3D PCB and the linked 2D PCB becomes out of date. The changes can be synchronized later using the standard 2D/3D PCB synchronization workflow.
Note: Editing or moving a PTH in the 3D PCB does not update the associated copper pads unless Update 2D PCB is selected or the changes are synchronized between the 2D and 3D PCB.

PTH copper geometry is represented under the corresponding top and bottom copper nodes in the 3D PCB browser.
