Add a SPICE simulation model

Before doing this, ensure that you have the required SPICE model available on your computer, in an accessible location.

For a schematic circuit design

1. Select the entire circuit design, or any part of it to review, down to a single component.
2. On the Schematic Design toolbar, click Simulate > Add Model .
3. In the Add Model dialog, review the attributes and values mapped to components, changing them as necessary. All components properly mapped show a green check mark in the Done column.
4. Click the Done button when finished.

For a single library component

1. On the Library Device toolbar, click Add Model .
2. In the Add Model dialog, select an appropriate Spice Type if necessary.
3. Click MAP, and then click the Load Model button.
4. Browse to the location of the model file (<name>.mdl) and click Open.
5. Map the component pins to the SPICE model inputs.
