QROUTEAIRWIRE

Function

 Automatically route an individual airwire.

Syntax

 QROUTEAIRWIRE

See also QROUTESIGNAL, QROUTEMULTI.

In Quick Route Airwire mode, you select individual airwires that you wish to be automatically routed, and the ROUTE command instantly routes them. You can also select an existing wire, pad, or via in the design, and if the command can determine an unambiguous nearby airwire then it will route that. In Design Manager view, you can select one or more signal or airwire entries, and then Right Click + Quick Route, to route their wires on the layer currently specified by the ROUTE command.

QROUTEMULTI

Function

 Automatically routes multiple airwires simultaneously.

Syntax

 QROUTEMULTI

See also QROUTEAIRWIRE, QROUTESIGNAL.

In the QROUTEMULTI command, you begin by drawing a selection line that intersects through the signal objects that you wish to route concurrently (existing wires, pads, and vias). Continue to draw additional selection lines to add more signal objects. Press the ESC key if you need to clear the selection list and begin again. Right Click to route all the airwires connected to the selected objects. The signals are routed on the active layer. In Design Manager view, you can select multiple signal or airwire entries, and then Right Click + Quick Route, to route their wires on the layer currently specified by the ROUTE command.

QROUTESIGNAL

Function

 Automatically route a signal.

Syntax

 QROUTESIGNAL

See also QROUTEAIRWIRE, QROUTEMULTI.

With the QROUTESIGNAL command you select any signal object (airwire, wire, pad, or via), and the command instantly routes all airwires that are members of that signal. When the signal that you have selected is one side of a differential pair, then the command automatically routes both differential pair signals together. If no airwires are found, then the QROUTESIGNAL command displays an error message. The signal is routed on the active layer. In Design Manager view, you can select one or more signal or airwire entries, and then Right Click + Quick Route, to route their wires on the layer currently specified by the ROUTE command.

QROUTESMOOTH

Function

Automatically smooths the wire sequence on a selected signal.

Syntax

 QROUTESMOOTH

See also QROUTEAIRWIRE QROUTESIGNAL QROUTEMULTI.

In the QROUTESMOOTH command, you can select an existing routed signal wire, and the QROUTESMOOTH command smooths the wire sequence on the selected wire's layer by reducing the number of wire bends in the sequence.
