Layers and their usage

Important: Layer names have been updated to map more closely with industry terms. This change does not affect legacy files. You may see new names, legacy names, or a combination of the two as you work with the product.

Layers can be used with their names or their numbers. Names can be changed with the Display Layers command or in the Display Layers panel. The functions of the special layers remain.

If you want to create your own layers, use layer numbers above 100. Use the Display Layers panel to create new layers ( + ). Y can use the command line to create, for example, layer 200, Remarks, type in the following:

The new layer is activated at creation. Use the Display Layers panel to set up color and fill style of the layer.
