Add a pin array
Add a series of pins to an integrated circuit (IC) or chip symbol.
- With an open library, click New Symbol, and choose to either draw one from scratch, or import an existing symbol as a basis.
- On the Library Symbol toolbar, click Place > Pin Array .
- In the Place Pins dialog, specify a Base Name, which is often a single letter, with or without a hyphen.
- Select which sides of the chip to place pins on.
- Specify the number of pins and the start index, which is often 1.
- Choose whether to draw a rectangular outline of the chip and whether to include >NAME and >VALUE labels.
- Click OK and place the chip in the canvas.
