Polygon pour

It is recommended to pour polygons after specifying the circuit board size and shape, but before routing traces.

  1. At the top of the canvas, select the layer on which to pour the polygon.
  2. On the PCB Design toolbar, click Polygon Pour Polygon Pour icon.
  3. In the Polygon Pour dialog, review or set options for corner and fill style, thermals, orphans, and other settings.
  4. Click to place the first vertex of the polygon, move the cursor and click for other vertices; finally double-click to close the polygon. The Signal dialog opens.
  5. In the Signal dialog, enter a name for the signal.
