Create a copper pour

Pour copper after you specify the circuit board size and shape, but before you route traces.

  1. At the top of the canvas, select the layer on which to pour copper.
  2. On the PCB Design toolbar, click Copper Pour Copper Pour icon.
  3. In the Copper Pour dialog, review or set options for corner and fill style, thermals, orphans, and other settings.
  4. Click to place the first vertex, move the cursor and click for other vertices; finally double-click to close the shape. The Signal dialog opens.
  5. In the Signal dialog, enter a name for the signal.
