Remove or re-reference a document

Remove a document

Whether created new or by reference, schematics and PCBs become part of an electronic design, and are linked to the design document. You can remove and replace a document in a design.

1. Click the Electronics Design document tab.
2. In the browser, right click the document you want to remove and select either of the following:
   • Remove Schematic Link
   • Remove PCB Link
3. The document is removed from the design. When a 2D PCB is selected to remove, the 3D PCB is also removed.

Re-reference a document

You can re-reference a schematic or 2D PCB document into an electronic design.

1. Right click the schematic or PCB document and click one of the following:
   • Reference to a Schematic document
   • Reference to a PCB document
2. Browse to the document and select it to include it in the design. When a PCB document is referenced and there is an associated 3D PCB document, it is also included.
