Swap all private libraries in your design

If your design uses private libraries, Fusion detects this and prompts you to swap them to hub libraries. Updating your designs to use hub libraries ensures that you and your team members can modify components and update designs without running into permission issues.

Swap private libraries using the banner

1. Open a design that contains components from private libraries.
2. In the Place Components panel, click Swap Libraries in the banner that reads Swap private libraries to Hub libraries for team access.
3. In the Swap Libraries dialog, review the Used Library shown.
4. In the Target Library dropdown, select the hub library to replace the private library.
   • If the library has not yet been imported into your hub, select Import as New Hub Library from the dropdown. This imports the library and opens it in the Library Editor. Save the library to your Fusion hub, then return to swap the design to use the new library.
5. Confirm all components exist in the target library. Any missing components are highlighted.
6. Click Swap to replace all components from the private library with those from the target hub library.
7. Repeat for each remaining private library in the design. The progress counter in the bottom left shows how many libraries remain.
