Mesh properties reference

The Properties dialog displays settings associated with the selected mesh body in Fusion.

Access

In the Browser, in the Bodies folder, right-click a mesh body, then select Properties.

Body section

Displays the Area, Density, Mass, Volume, Physical Material, and Appearance properties of the selected mesh body.

Mesh section

Displays the Face Count, Vertex Count, Face Group Count, Shell Count, Texture Count, and Color properties of the selected mesh body.

Bounding Box section

Displays the Length, Width, and Height of the bounding box that contains the extents of the selected mesh body.

Mesh Analysis section

Displays the mesh analysis results for the 3 primary mesh errors.

If the result is No:

• Mesh Is Closed: One or more holes or missing faces prevent the mesh body from being watertight.
• Mesh Is Oriented: One or more faces is flipped in the opposite direction from the rest of the mesh body.
• Mesh Has Positive Volume: The majority of faces are oriented in a direction that cannot produce a mesh body with positive volume.
