Compute parameters, features, and assembly relationships in a design
Learn how use the Compute All command to compute all of the parameters, features, and assembly relationships in a parametric design in Fusion.
Compute All
- On the toolbar, click Modify > Compute All .
- Press
Ctrl+B
.
All of the parameters, features, and assembly relationships in the design compute, and the design updates in the canvas.
Note: Typically Fusion computes everything automatically as you edit a parametric design.
Resolve warnings and errors
If any of the parameters, features, or assembly relationships cannot be computed, a yellow warning or red error highlights the feature in the Timeline.
In the Timeline, right-click the feature.
Select Review Warning.
The warning or error message displays in the lower-right.
Expand and review the warning, then try any advice provided. For example:
- Double-click the feature to edit it.
- Reselect any missing geometry.
- Identify upstream features that are referenced downstream, and determine whether they have been modified, suppressed, or deleted.
Tips
- Use Compute All after you edit features that are upstream in the Timeline, especially if you delete or significantly change any geometry that is referenced by other features downstream in the Timeline.
- Use Compute All after you make significant changes to your design, to validate that the design still computes without any issues before you save.
