Learn how to move or copy components, bodies, faces, or sketch objects in Fusion.
In the Browser, select an internal or external component to copy.
Right-click the component, then select Copy.
Right-click an internal component to use as the parent for the copy, then select Paste.
A copy of the component displays in the Browser, nested within the internal component you right-clicked.
The Move/Copy dialog displays.
Optional: Move or rotate the component:
Optional: Check the box next to Capture Position to capture the new position of the component.
Click OK.
A duplicate component displays in the canvas at the location you specified.
The new component is linked to the original component as an identical duplicate. When you modify the original component or the new component, both components reflect the changes.
In the Browser, select an internal component to copy.
Right-click the component, then select Copy.
Right-click an internal component to use as the parent for the copy, then select Paste.
A copy of the component displays in the canvas and in the Browser, nested within the internal component you right-clicked.
The Move/Copy dialog displays.
Optional: Move or rotate the component.
Optional: Check the box next to Capture Position to capture the new position of the component.
Click OK.

The new component is not linked to the original component. When you modify the original component or the new component, the changes are unique to that component.
In the Browser, expand the Bodies folder, then select the body to copy.
Right-click the body, then select Copy.
Right-click the Bodies folder in any internal component, then select Paste.
A copy of the body displays in the canvas and in the Browser.
The Move/Copy dialog displays.
Optional: Move or rotate the body.
Click OK.
A duplicate body displays in the canvas at the location you specified.
The new body is not linked to the original body. When you modify the original body or the new body, the changes are unique to that body.
Click Design > Solid > Modify > Move/Copy .
The Move/Copy dialog displays.
Optional: Check the box next to Create Copy to create a copy of the selected object instead of moving the original.
In the dialog, select the Move Object type:
Select an object:
In the canvas, hover over the object and the manipulator displays. Click to place the manipulator pivot point.
Optional: Click Set Pivot to adjust the pivot point of the manipulator.
In the canvas, hover over the geometry you want to snap to, then click to place the pivot point, or enter exact values in the dialog.
Select the Move Type and adjust its associated settings, or use the manipulator handles to move the selected object directly in the canvas:
Optional (components only): Check the box next to Capture Position to capture the new position of the component.
Optional: Check Create Copy to create a copy of the selection and move it.
Click OK.
The original or copied object displays in the new location in the canvas.
If you used Translate, a Move feature is created in the timeline.
