Convert to a quasistatic analysis

Prerequisites

These steps assume you have created a dynamic event simulation study in the Simulation workspace.

Workflow

1. Click (Simulation workspace > Setup tab > Manage panel > Settings) to open the Settings dialog.

2. In the Settings dialog, select Quasi-static Event Simulation, from the Study Type drop-down menu.

   Note: Switching to quasi-static removes the initial linear or angular velocity settings you specified in the dynanmic setup, which are not valid options for a quasi-static analysis.

3. Click OK to accept the changes and close the Settings dialog.

   Note: A warning appears next to existing results, to advise you that they are out-of-date.

4. Complete your quasi-static analysis setup, as appropriate, by applying constraints and loads, then click (Simulation workspace > Setup tab > Solve panel > Solve) to run the analysis.
