Add a 2D plot to a nonlinear simulation report

For nonlinear analyses, such as Nonlinear Static Stress and Event Simulation studies, you can view 2D chart (graphs) of the simulation results. The calculation steps are plotted along the X-axis of the graph and the result magnitude along the Y-axis. You can add the 2D plot to your report.

Prerequisites

These steps assume you have solved a nonlinear simulation analysis and have generated results. These steps are only applicable to Nonlinear static stress or Event simulation studies.

Workflow

1. Click (Simulation workspace > Setup tab > Results panel > Results) to open the Results tab

2. Select the result that you want to graph from the selector in the legend area.

3. Click 2D Chart, which is located to the right of the Step slider in the legend area.

4. Click Add to Report at the bottom of the Transient Results Plot dialog, to activate the command.

   Note: Add to Report is a toggle button. Click it a second time to remove the 2D plot from your report. The button is highlighted in light blue to indicate when it is active.

Now, when you preview or generate your report, all the charts you added are included in the 2D Charts section at the bottom of the report.
