Apply process settings for an injection molding simulation study

1. On the Setup tab, click Process Settings .

   The Process Settings dialog opens.

2. For Injection Time, select one of the settings.

   • Automatic to let the solver calculate the injection time that gives the lowest injection pressure.
   • Specified to enter your value of time injection.

3. Accept the default values of material-specific settings or modify them.

   Tip: If you modify these settings, stay within the limits recommended by the material manufacturer. Ideally, set the temperature around the middle of the range.

4. Leave Compensate for Shrinkage turned on to compensate for the expected material shrinkage. Accept the default value of Shrinkage Allowance (%) or modify it.

   Tip: To undo modifications of process settings, click the arrow icon to the right of the Reset to default option.

5. Click OK.

The process settings are applied to your study.
