The Warpage tolerance result highlights those areas of the part where out-of-plane deflections exceed the specified warpage tolerance.
The total warpage of the part is caused be several factors including differential shrinkage, caused by variation in shrinkage from region to region, and orientation effects, caused by variations in the magnitude of shrinkage parallel and perpendicular to the material orientation direction.
When viewing the Warpage tolerance result, watch for the following:
The Warpage tolerance result highlights those areas of the part where out-of-plane deflections exceed the specified warpage tolerance. If the warpage values are small, magnify the display using the Magnification tool in the Result Settings next to the legend.
The default tolerance is set at 86% of the maximum warpage. Use the legend slider to change the warpage tolerance to match your design requirements.
