Exclude hidden bodies in simulation results

Exclude hidden bodies from a result's legend range, so the coloring reflects only the components you can see.

Prerequisites: You have run a static stress, thermal, thermal stress, modal frequencies, structural buckling, or electronics cooling study and have results to view.

  1. Above the legend, click the settings icon next to the result name to open Result Settings.
  2. Select Exclude Hidden Bodies to leave hidden bodies out of the result's minimum and maximum values.
Note: Exclude Hidden Bodies isn't available for Fusion injection molding results.

Legacy viewer

Prerequisites: You have run a nonlinear static stress, event simulation, or shape optimization study and have results to view.

  1. Click legend options icon (Simulation workspace > Results tab > Result Tools panel > Legend Options) to open the Legend Options dialog.
  2. Select Visible Only to display a range of results for only the visible components.
  3. Click OK to close the Legend Options dialog.
