Save as DXF

Save a sketch as a DXF file and export it to your computer or save it to a project in Fusion.

1. Open a design that contains a sketch.

2. In the Browser, locate the sketch you want to save as a DXF.

3. Right-click the sketch name and select Save As DXF.

4. Enter a name for the DXF file.

5. Specify a location to save to.

6. Click Save.

The sketch is exported as a DXF and is saved to the specified location.

Tips

• Save a sketch as a DXF for use in different manufacturing methods, such as laser cutting.
• If you have a body you want to laser cut the profile of, create a sketch on the top or bottom face of the body. The edges of the face are automatically projected into the sketch.
• Check Save to a Fusion project to save the DXF to save it in the Fusion web client.
