Create construction geometry in a sketch
Learn how to create construction geometry in the active sketch in Fusion.
You can change the linetype from sketch geometry to construction geometry, which you can use as reference points for sketching and dimensioning. Construction geometry is not included as sketch geometry that defines the boundaries of the active sketch.
Change sketch geometry to construction geometry
- In the Sketch Palette dialog, next to Linetype, click the Construction option. Any sketch geometry you create is now created as construction geometry.
- Or select existing sketch geometry, next to Linetype, click the Construction option.
- Or select existing sketch geometry, right-click, then click Normal/Construction from the Marking Menu.
The sketch geometry becomes construction geometry.
Change construction geometry back into sketch geometry
- Select existing construction geometry, next to Linetype, click the Construction option.
- Or select existing construction geometry, right-click, then click Normal/Construction from the Marking Menu.
The construction geometry becomes sketch geometry.
