Set up TypeScript API definitions

TypeScript API definitions give you autocomplete and type checking when you write node code in .node.ts files. The definitions come from the version of Fusion you have installed.

How it works

The first time you open a .node.ts file, the extension fetches the definitions from Fusion and saves them to the project. No action is needed. Wait for the download to finish before writing code.

Update the definitions

Update the definitions after a Fusion update, or if autocomplete stops working as expected.

  1. Press Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows) / Command+Shift+P (macOS) to open the command palette.

  2. Type system to filter the list.

  3. Select System Modeler: Set up TypeScript API definitions.

If updated definitions are available, a prompt appears asking you to confirm the update. Accept it to download and apply the latest definitions. Autocomplete updates after the download completes.

Note: Fusion must be running and the System Modeler add-in must be enabled.
